Dessert First will feature a WINE PULL. Tickets can be purchased at the event for a chance at a fabulous bottle of wine! There will be a variety of spectacular wines. Everyone who buys a ticket will be guaranteed a bottle of wine.

At Last! An altruistic reason to eat Dessert First while enjoying champagne and chocolate.

The members of Altrusa International, Inc. of Downtown Dallas are excited to announce the return of Dessert First. This year, our honorary chocolate designer will be Olivia Bennett.

Altrusa has selected Friends of Wednesday's Child to be honored at our annual event and to receive substantial proceeds from our delicious evening.

Join us for a delightful evening as we support Friends of Wednesday's Child and their continuing devotion to foster children. They bridge the gap between state-funded Child Protective Services and the limited resources of foster parents to service the fundamental needs of these precious children.

Since 1982, members of Altrusa International, Inc. of Downtown Dallas have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support non-profit agencies that benefit women and children in the Dallas area. Additionally, our members have given more than 70,000 hours of their time to community service.

On March 15, 2011, The Altrusa International, Inc. of Downtown Dallas Foundation presented Friends of Wednesday's Child with a check for $40,000 raised at Dessert First 2010. Through your generous support, you can bring hope and healing to children in foster care. Patrons who donate $1,000 or more will be invited to a private VIP reception.
